It may be small but it is definitely one of the most impressive gorges in Crete. The Gorge of Anhydrι lies to the east of Paleochora and is crossed by the waters flowing through the stream of Dichalomas from the area of Asfendille and Ancient Irtakina.

The gorge starts from the village of Anydri and after a special route ends at the beautiful Gialiskari beach. The route lasts 3 km.

In summer the gorge has no water and it is quite easy to descend. The visitor must have a hat and plenty of water, as the vegetation of the canyon is small, not characterized by its tall trees and rocks.

Gialiskari is located by the beach of Anydri, and one is more beautiful than the other. The visitor can also get there by car. Gialiskari occupies a small peninsula with pebbles and blue waters along its two sides. On-site you will find a canteen, umbrellas and sun loungers.
